Company
Bowmer Bond has been in existence as a narrow fabric manufacturing company since 1795. The company runs two factories in the UK: our main plant is in Ashbourne, Derbyshire and we have another weaving factory in Fazeley, Staffordshire.
The main factory in Ashbourne, Derbyshire is a Victorian Mill which is set in picturesque countryside adjacent to the river Dove, at the gateway to the beautiful Derbyshire Dales. The company is proud of its heritage and has made every effort to retain the natural beauty of the site whilst developing the original floor space from 35000 sq ft to its current size of 54000 sq ft.
The company was purchased in a management buy out in 2001 by the three of the current owner/directors, who have continued to grow the company through innovation, investment and expansion of our export market.
Bowmer Bond's workforce is made up of over 90 employees, all highly skilled within their own areas of expertise. There is a good mix with many of or workforce being long-serving and following in the footsteps of their parents/siblings and newcomers who have brought new ideas and working methods into the company. Our core values are centred upon maintaining a warm and friendly atmosphere where each employee can count on the support of their colleagues.
Bowmer Bond is an equal opportunites employer.
